Dexter O. Willits Dexter Owen Willits of Independence, KS, died Tuesday, October 30, 2007, at his home. He was 59. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 2007, at Neodesha Cemetery under the direction of Penwell-Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel in Neodesha. Friends may call from noon-8 p.m. Thursday with the family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday. The son of Ralph and Gladys Wilson Willits, he was born April 28, 1948, in Kenville, IN. He received his education in Indiana. He was united in marriage to Becky Willits on May 21, 1982, in Neodesha. She survives at the home. Mr. Willits had been a resident of Independence for 25 years and was employed by MFG Construction Products at the time of his death. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, Dexter Jr. and Daniel of the home, Richard Tucker and Dustin Tucker, both of Indiana; two daughters, Daisy and Rebecca, both of the home; five sisters, Eunice Taylor, Doris Bolinger, Bernice Gannon, Hazel Carriker and Phyllis Stinecipher; and five brothers, Chester, LaVerne, Freeman, Sherwin and Perry Willits; and three grandchildren.
