David Queen

David Keith Queen,76, passed away at his home on April 1,2020. He had been failing in health. He was born on September 21, 1943, in Independence, MO to Earl Raymond and Ruth Ellery Queen (Black). David was #4 of 18 children, he spent most of his childhood in Wichita, KS where he attended schools. David met Betty Riedle and they married September 23, 1963, during their marriage they had 3 daughters, they later divorced. He met Donna Deweese and they married May 17, 2003. She survives of the home. David had many jobs during his life from factory worker to Paramedic (he was described by a friend of the family as her superman). He had many interests, but his favorites were bowling and playing softball. David was loved by many people especially his family who will miss him terribly. David loved his family especially his kids and grandkids. Anyone who knew him probably has a good story to tell of either his compassion or his ornery self he was quite a prankster.

David his survived by his wife Donna, 3 daughters: Ineva (Mark)Fitzgerald, Shellie (Brad) Bauer, and Theresa (Steve) Nye; bonus children: Katrina Hawthorne and Micah Deweese; 6 grandchildren: Kari (Andrew) Brown, Kyle Almond, Nicole Almond, Keith (Kelsee) Yarnell, Gloria (Chris) Schoenhofer, and Stephen Queen (Heather); bonus grandchildren: Mandy (John) Williams, Jeremy (Sarah) Fitzgerald, Jacob, Brooke, and Garrett Hawthorne; 17 great grandchildren, his siblings: Janet Alexander, Ivan Queen Sr, Jess Queen, Jim (Becky) Queen, Cathy (Fred) Bailey, Mary (Mike) Littlejohn, Anita (Ron) Healy, Barbara Stein, Judy Fregosa, Brian (Katherine) Queen; several nieces, nephews and friends he considered family. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Raymond, Ginger, Ruth Allen, Linda Hubbard, Theresa, Paul, and Gloria; his grandson: Daniel Yarnell; and bonus granddaughter: Danielle Segraves.

Cremation has taken place by Loran Fawcett Chapel. Due to the Coronavirus, a memorial will take place at a later date. The family will announce details when available. Memorials can be left in David’s name to the Wilson Medical Center and can be left at the Loran Fawcett Chapel in Neodesha, KS.
