Cliffie Krokstrom

CLIFFIE MAE STAPP KROKSTROM Cliffie Mae Krokstrom, age 81 of Neodesha, Kansas died Thursday, November 7, 2002 at the Wilson County Hospital in Neodesha, Kansas. Cliffie was born May 4, 1921 in Independence, Kansas to Oris Michael and Ella Iona Blakley Stapp. She grew up in Independence, Kansas and graduated from the Independence High School in 1939. She then attended the Ida Bevens Business School in Independence, Kansas. On December 19, 1941 Cliffie married Grover Wayne Barb in Independence, Kansas and he preceded her in death in 1965. On January 15, 1973 Cliffie married Donald E. Krokstrom in Neodesha, Kansas where they made their home. He preceded her in death May 12, 2001. Cliffie was a supervisor for Peter Pan Ice Cream Stores for over 6 years. She also worked for the Wilson County Hospital and for Bacon Real Estate. She was a member of the First Christian Church Disiples of Christ and the VFW Ladies Auxillary. Survivors include one son Jim Barb of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; three daughters Vickie Moon of Richmond, Texas, Diana Morrison of Carrolton, Texas and Sharon Oamp;Connor of Kansas City, Missouri; two stepdaughters Connie Schmitz of Iola, Kansas, Gale Ann Test of Portland, Texas and one step son Jim Krokstrom of Parsons, Kansas; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister Dorothy Marie Rushton. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 9, 2002 at the Neodesha First Christian Church with the Rev. Dan DeWitt officiating. Burial will follow in the Neodesha Cemetery under the direction of the Loran Fawcett Funeral Home. Visitation hours will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 8, 2002 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Loran Fawcett Funeral Home. The family has suggested memorials to the Neodesha First Christian Church and contributions may be left at the Loran Fawcett Funeral Home.
