Clara Willard

Clara L. Willard, 79, of Neodesha, KS passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS.
Graveside services will be 3:00 pm Friday March 2, 2018 at the Neodesha Cemetery in Neodesha, KS. Visitation will be Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Loran Fawcett Chapel in Neodesha, KS. The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Clara L. Willard was born January 15, 1939 in Neodesha, KS. The daughter of Lewis G. and Pauline Catherine (Vail) Pierce. Clara attended school in Neodesha, and graduated from Neodesha High in 1957. On January 17, 1964 in Miami, OK Clara was united in marriage to Jimmy Dean. They made their home in Neodesha. Clara worked for 42 years and had just retired on January 26, 2018. Clara loved work at Cobalt. She also loved to tend to the squirrels and birds in her yard by feeding them, most of all Clara loved spending time with grandkids and great grandkids, they were her life.
Clara is survived by 3 daughters, Paula Buster and husband Greg of Thayer, KS; Sam (Katie) Webb and husband Raymond of Neodesha, KS; and Jody Smith and husband Bub of Coffeyville, KS; one brother, Lewis Pierce of Altoona, KS; and one sister, Kate Latta and husband Joe of Emmett, KS. She loved her grandchildren, Kristin Carrico and husband Ben of Thayer, KS; Tara King and husband Justin of Thayer, KS; Courtney Baugher and husband Chance of Neodesha, KS; Andrew Willard and wife Jacklyn of Neodesha, KS; Brandon Smith and wife Michelle of Coffeyville, KS; Justin Smith and wife Charity of Coffeyville, KS. She has 7 great grandchildren she loved with all her heart, Abigail Carrico, Emily Carrico, Taten Engelman, Danielle Smith, Madelyn Smith, Graham Smith, and Isaiah Smith. Aunt Tootie will also be remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Clara is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jimmy, and son Chris Willard.
