CHESTER PAUL GILDART Chester Paul Gildart, 86, of Thayer, Kansas passed away Saturday, December 23, 2006 at the Harry Hynes Hospice Center, Via Christi, St. Francis Campus, Wichita, Kansas. Visitation hours for Paul will be on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the family greeting friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel of Neodesha. Graveside services for Chester Paul Gildart will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 28, 2006 at the Thayer Cemetery, Thayer, Kansas. Casket bearers will be his nephews. Paul was born on November 03, 1920 to Charley and Sybil Gildart. He grew up in the Thayer rural community as a farmer and rancher. Paul was the second oldest of twelve children. His oldest sister, Reve Wallace and his father and mother preceded him in death. Paul enjoyed all of his years farming and helping neighbors with any problem. He was very proud and fond of all his 26 nieces and nephews and the many great nieces and nephews especially when they were babies. He had enjoyed life and never gave up through all of his sickness. He was a pleasant and caring brother and uncle. Paul is survived by his brothers and sisters, Doris Engstrom of California, Ralph Gildart of Thayer, Kansas, Erma Gough of Erie, Kansas, Roy Gildart of Neodesha, Kansas, Lena Mae Pippin, Dale Gildart of Thayer, Kansas, Francis Wedon of Colorado, Nelda Beaman of Oklahoma, Norma Stell of Oklahoma and Neil Gildart of Thayer, Kansas.
