Charles Coltrain

Charles E. Coltrain Charles Eugene Gene Coltrain, 59, formerly of Neodesha, died Wednesday, January 30, 2008, at the Parsons State Hospital in Parsons, Kansas. Gene was born August 22, 1948, in Neodesha to Charles and Ruth Hemphill Coltrain. Gene39;s developmental disability became apparent at an early age. He eventually became a permanent resident of the Parsons State Hospital, whose staff cared for him in a highly professional and loving way. He was always in the thoughts and prayers of his family and the Bethel Church community. He is survived by his parents of Benton, KS; two brothers, Tom and his wife Jean of Fort Wayne, IN, and Terry and his wife Jo of Wichita; one sister Judy Ketchum and her husband Jeffery of Benton, KS; and several nieces and nephews. Private burial has taken place at Shelly Bethel Cemetery. A family memorial service will be held at a later date.
