Carl Eric Asmussen, 58, Neodesha, Kansas died Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Wilson Medical Center in Neodesha. Memorial Services will be 2:00 pm Saturday June 2, 2012 at PenwellGabel Loran Fawcett Chapel with visitation 12:00pm. Eric was born December 26, 1953 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Carl Eugene and Bonnie Jean Garrett Asmussen. After earning his nursing degree from Oklahoma State UniversityOKC, Eric worked as a registered nurse in Stillwater, OK, then earned his Sociology degree from OSU and JD from the University of Oklahoma. He continued his legal career in McAllen, TX, St. Louis, MO and was most recently employed as the Corporate Attorney at the Mercy Hospitals in Independence and Fort Scott, KS. Eric is survived by his parents Carl and Jean Asmussen, Neodesha, Kansas, his wife Vickie and daughter Vanessa Asmussen, Neodesha, Kansas, daughter Sara Asmussen, Kansas City, Missouri, son Davin Eric Asmussen, Roeland Park, Kansas, brothers Mark and wife Cathy Asmussen, West Monroe, Louisiana, Robert Asmussen, Pittsburg, Kansas, numerous aunts, uncles, many sistersinlaw, brothersinlaw, nieces and nephews.
