Mrs. Brenda K. Shue, 58, of Neodesha, died Saturday afternoon at Greenwood County Hospital in Eureka, Kansas. A graveside services under the direction of PenwellGabel Loran Fawcett Chapel will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 07, 2010 with inurnment at the Grenola Cemetery in Grenola, Kansas with Reverend Charles Towne officiating. Friends may call to register at Penwell Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 5th and Friday, August 6th. The family has suggested memorial remembrances to American Cancer Society and remembrances will be received at the funeral home. Brenda Kay Shue was born November 22, 1951 at Meza, Arizona, the daughter of Bobby Russell and Marlene Dory Russell. Mrs. Shue grew up in the Sedan and Grenola, Kansas area. She worked as an emergency dispatcher for Chautauqua and Wilson County and also as a Librarian for the W.A. Rankin Library in Neodesha before becoming disabled. Brenda was united in marriage to James Shue in Independence on September 02, 1988 and he survives at the home. Additional survivors include her mother, Marlene Tiger of Wichita, KS and a son, Charles Phillips of Chanute, KS, five grandchildren and 5 greatgrandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, and two daughters Tanya Humphries and Michelle Kinkaide.
