Boyd A. Spoonie Spoonemore, 79 of Neodesha, passed away Wednesday morning, April 13, 2011 at his home. Graveside Services with Military Rites will be held on Monday, April 18, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Neodesha Cemetery under the direction of PenwellGabel Loran Fawcett Chapel with the Reverend Jack Kyle, pastor of the Neodesha First Christian Church officiating. Friends may call to register on Sunday, April 17th from 12 noon to 8:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Boyd Allen Spoonemore was born on June 19, 1931 in Neodesha, KS to Elmon Spoonemore and Bessie Kebert Spoonemore. He attended and graduated high school from Neodesha in 1951. He went on to work for 35 years for ADM in Fredonia, KS until his retirement in 1994. He then went to work for the Independence School Board Office where he worked for total of 5 years. He was a member of the American Legion, the NRA, and the Neodesha First Christian Church. Boyd married Carlyne Dannels in Ponca City, OK on September 03, 1955 and she survives at the home. Additional survivors include three daughters, Debra Mooney of Neodesha, Kim Spoonemore of Richmond, KS and Anna May amp husband Brad of Independence, KS a sister Joyce Cook of Neodesha four grandchildren, Clifford Allen Hare and Cobra Williams of Neodesha, Raymond Frank Hare of Hutchinson, KS, and Zach May of Independence, KS three greatgrandchildren and one greatgreatgrandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister: Dixie Mitchell and two infant brothers. The family has suggested memorials to the First Christian Church of Neodesha.
