BILLY D. BURTON Billy D. Burton, 47, of Neodesha, died Thursday morning, February 3, 2005, at his home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, February 5, 2005, at Penwell Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel. Cremation will follow the service and a private inurnment will take place at a later date in Farm Ridge Cemetery. Pastors Bill Woods and Delbert Callaway will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday. The son of Bobbie D. and Doris Kennedy Burton Sr., Mr. Burton was born May 17, 1957, in Oswego, Kansas. He attended school in Independence, Kansas, and Neodesha and received his G.E.D. Mr. Burton was employed by Berwind Railway for 14 years and was later a general laborer for several years before his health failed. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie 3448 in Neodesha. Mr. Burton is survived by his mother, Doris West of Neodesha; a daughter, Amy Diggens of Neodesha; three brothers, Bobbie Burton Jr. of Neodesha, John West of Saudi Arabia, and Frank West of Woodbridge, VA; three sisters, Diane Armbruster of Albert, KS, Eugena Phillips of Branson, MO, and Sallie West of Kansas City, MO. He was preceded in death by His father, Bobbie Burton Sr. and his step-father, Frank West. Memorial contributions may be made to the southeast chapter of Harry Hynes Hospice in Coffeyville, KS, or the Wilson County Hospital Foundation and may be left at the funeral home.
