Beverly Markham

Beverly J. Markham, 72, of Benedict, Kansas died Saturday, March 19, 2011 at St. Francis Via Christie Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 25, 2011, at the First Southern Baptist Church in Neodesha, Kansas under the direction of PenwellGabel Loran Fawcett Chapel. Pastor Dallas Martin will officiate. Friends may call to register on Thursday, March 24th from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Loran Fawcett Chapel. Graveside Services will be at 5:00 p.m. at the Westville Cemetery in Westville, Oklahoma. Beverly Jean Rains was born in Tahlequah, Oklahoma on September 13, 1938 to Paschal Ayers Rains and Susie Irene Sanders. She was a member of the Neodesha First Southern Baptist Church, where she was active in the church by being a Sunday school teacher and choir member she played piano and was a member of Gideons. Beverly married Chester Leroy Markham on June 03, 1956 in Christie, Oklahoma and he survives at the home. Beverly was a loving and devoted Christian, Wife, and Mother whom will be missed by all that knew her. Survivors include two sons Dale Markham and wife Paula of Independence, Kansas, Dean Markham and wife Jennifer of Wichita, Kansas, one daughter Sedana Beusch and husband Pete of Nowata, Oklahoma, three grandchildren Matthew Dale Markham, Joshua Steven King and Madalyn Sedana Forbes, one greatgrandchild Arianna Grace Markham and another greatgrandchild on the way. The family has suggested memorials to the First Southern Baptist Church Building Fund in lieu of flowers and memorials can be left at the funeral home.
