Betty Klayder

BETTY KLAYDER Betty Klayder died Friday, May 27, 2005 at the Olathe Good Samaritan Center. She was 79. Visitation hours for Betty will be held Tuesday, May 31, 2005 from 10:00 a.m. to Noon at the Penwell-Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel, Neodesha, Kansas. Graveside services for Betty will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 31, 2005 at the Neodesha City Cemetery with Reverend Dave Cheshier officiating.. Betty was born June 10, 1925 in Neodesha, Kansas to James and Inez Crawford. She graduated from Neodesha High School and lived in Neodesha most all of her life. Betty married Reuben Klayder on November 01, 1947. Reuben was a lifelong resident of Neodesha, a partner in the Klayder-Garrett Pharmacy, and a community leader. He preceded her in death in 1976. Betty was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She worked for several years at the Neodesha Daily Sun and the First National Bank. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She is survived by her two sons, James R. Klayder and his wife, Donna, of Alliance, Ohio and Paul W. Klayder and his wife, Amy, of Olathe, Kansas; her granddaughter, Marci Klayder of Olathe, Kansas; a niece, Connie Noel of Neodesha, Kansas; and a nephew, Bob Eckman of Plano, Texas. The family has suggested memorial contributions to the Olathe Good Samaritan Center, 20705 W. 151st St., Olathe, Kansas 66061. Memorials may be left with the funeral home.
