BETTY J. BENNETT Betty J. Bennett, 81, of Neodesha, Kansas passed away Sunday morning, December 10, 2006 at the Life Care Center in Andover, Kansas where she was a resident. Betty was born May 21, 1925 in Sycamore, Kansas to John and Della McFall McClaren. She was raised and educated in Lafontine, Kansas where she graduated from Lafontine High School. Betty married Everett E. Bennett on January 14, 1943 at Independence, Kansas. They made their home in Neodesha in 1946 and have lived here until they moved to Andover in June of 2006. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church, Neodesha. Betty is survived by her husband Everett of Andover, Kansas; one daughter, Carolyn Elstun of Andover, Kansas; and three grandchildren, Shelley Whittaker, Shawn Gorrell and Michelle York. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister. She also had three step grandchildren, three great grandchildren and six step great grandchildren. Her register book will be available to sign at the Penwell-Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel on Tuesday, December 12, 2006 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Graveside services for Betty J. Bennett will be held at 1:00 on Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at the Neodesha City Cemetery with Reverend Kris Brinllee of the First United Methodist Church officiating.
