Barbara Pryor

Barbara L. Pryor passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2019 at Morningstar Care Home in Neodesha, Kansas at the age of 90.

She was born on November 28, 1928 at Neodesha, Kansas to Ira L. and Hazel M. (Van Horn) Cole.  Barbara grew up and attended schools in Neodesha, Kansas and Wichita, Kansas.

Barbara married Lester L. Redington in 1947 and made their home in Neodesha, Kansas.  They divorced in 1970 after 23 years of marriage.

Barbara married Harold A. Pryor in June 1972 and they resided in Neodesha, Kansas.

She enjoyed life as a stay at home mother as well as time spent working at the local Ben Franklin Store, Peter Pan Ice Cream Store, Dairy Queen, the Library plus The Lantern II Restaurant in Fredonia.

Survivors include one daughter, Linda Martin and her husband Gary of Sedan, Kansas, two sons Dan Redington and wife Sharon of Neodesha, Kansas and Leslie Redington and wife Yvonne of Tulsa, Oklahoma; three grandchildren Tiffany Kimple, Sean Redington and Shalon Redington; six great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Hazel, her husband Harold Pryor and her three siblings.

A graveside service is planned for Monday, November 25, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Neodesha Cemetery under the direction of Loran Fawcett Chapel. Memorial can be made in Barbara’s name to the National Alzheimer’s Association and memorials can be left with Loran Fawcett Chapel.
