Christopher Collins

Christopher Todd Collins, 58 of Neodesha passed away at Labette Health Hospital in Parsons, Kansas on Tuesday, December 13, 2022.

Chris was welcomed into this world the youngest son of Thomas and Betty (Owens) Collins on October 11, 1964 in Emporia, Kansas. Chris graduated from high school in Arizona and then shortly after relocated to Kansas. In March of 2001, he met the love of his life, Tammy Latham. Chris attended the Fort Scott Driving School earning his CDL. He then began his over the road trucking career and later decided that with his new family he wanted to be home more often to spend time with them.  So, he began working in the oil fields. After time, Chris returned to driving a truck for Irish Express. Anybody that knew Chris knew he was a storyteller, he loved to chat the day away. He didn’t know a stranger. He loved his K-State Wildcats and working on cars.

Chris is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Collins and his daughter, Desiree Latham.

His memory will carry on with his spouse, Tammy, sons, Calvin Latham and Christopher Ian Collins, granddaughter, Avery Latham, father, Thomas Collins, brothers, Doug and Mike Collins and numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Loran Fawcett Chapel and the family will hold a private family graveside service at a later date.
